With the 1996 addition of the 102,000 gross square foot Edgar H. Wilson Convention Centre, The Centreplex has become Georgia's largest convention/event facility outside of metro-Atlanta . . . and one of the largest, finest and most versatile in the Southeastern United States . . . a state of-the-art facility with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a major metropolitan market, and, yet, free from the many hassles a major market often creates. It's the perfect site for just about any event you might be planning -- conventions, large and small; business meetings; educational seminars; trade and consumer shows; corporate functions; parties, receptions; or banquets.

Highlights:

• The anchor of the centre is a 30,800 sq.ft. Exhibition Hall. An extraordinarily versatile space, this hall can be divided into two rooms -- one with 22,400 sq. ft. and the other with 8,400 sq. ft. -- or it can be used in conjunction with both the center's ballroom and the adjacent Coliseum arena for more than 82,000 sq. ft. of contiguous floor space! That's enough space for more than 450 exhibit booths measuring 10' x 10'.
• The centre's 9,100 sq. ft. Ballroom can also be sub-divided. Clients can choose to use the room in its entirety or any combination of the five different break-out spaces, three of 2,600 sq. ft., and two others of approx. 650 sq. ft each.
• The top floor of the centre features 13 Meeting Rooms ranging in size from 360 sq. ft. up to 2,660 sq. ft. for a total of nearly 10,800 sq. ft. of break-out space. Additionally, there is an elegant Green Room. For meetings requiring food service, clients are pleased to hear that the majority of the centre's meeting rooms receive "back-of-house" service via an adjoining service hallway.
• Outside of the great exhibit and break-out space, a vast amount of pre-function space is perhaps one of the center's most distinguishing features. With two elegant rotunda lobbies, comfortable furnishings, and windows throughout, the center's pre-function space exuberates a feeling of airiness and class.
